ProtoBot Eye-Light FlexPCB

The ProtoBot Eye-Light FlexPCB is the official replacement flexible PCB for ProtoBot. It is soldered onto the CodeCell C6 Drive and provides the connections for all four N20 motors.

It also integrates the Eye-Light RGB LEDs, front proximity sensor and pre-applied adhesive backing for straightforward installation.

Every ProtoBot Kit already includes one Eye-Light FlexPCB. This separately available part is intended as a spare or replacement.

• Disconnect the battery and USB power before installing, soldering or removing the FlexPCB.
• Handle the FlexPCB carefully. Avoid sharp folds, creasing, puncturing, pulling or repeatedly bending the flexible sections.
• Check the orientation and inspect the connections for solder bridges or short circuits before applying power.
• Install the FlexPCB only on a clean, dry surface and avoid touching the adhesive more than necessary.
• Solder in a ventilated area and take care around hot tools. Young makers should work under responsible adult supervision.
• The FlexPCB and any associated screws are small components. Keep them away from young children.

The ProtoBot Eye-Light FlexPCB is a low-voltage replacement component intended for ProtoBot and compatible DIY electronics projects. When using it in another project, you’re responsible for ensuring that the power supply, wiring, soldering, mounting and connected devices are safe and suitable.
