Notes:

  • This flap actuator can reach a speed up to 25Hz, but for always-on applications we recommended not to exceed 10Hz.
  • For smooth organic motions, check out our DriveCell PWM Arduino library.
  • The adhesive used on the backside is 3M467. It’s cover can be peeled off using a pair of tweezers. Always clean the surface before sticking the actuator.
  • The FlatFlap is capable of lifting weights below 2 grams when operated with an on-off approach. Increasing the frequency to resonate the mass, specifically within the range of 30-3Hz, enhances its lifting-force/vibrating speed.
  • The aluminum reflecting flap is not polished and may include some scratches.
  • The box will include the FlatFlap, Blue/Pink Color-Changing Sticker and a set of two M1.2 screws.
  • To mount the Blue/Pink Color-Changing Sticker, peel off its cover-back with tweezers and make sure that the flap's surface is clean.
  • FlatFlap was previously known as the Flap Actuator.
  • This electronics kit is ROHS Compliant & follows IPC-A-600 II standard.
  • Please note that the FlatFlap is intended to be used as a DIY maker kit. For commercial purposes, please get in touch.
